AW Bistro & Meeting Facilities
The AW Bistro set in our Armstrong Watson head office in Carlisle is open to the public Monday to Friday, from 8am to 4.00pm offering a unique casual dining area where you can sample a delicious breakfast, lunch or snack throughout the working day. Lunch offers a variety of homemade and freshly prepared dishes, including fresh salads, sandwiches, sourdough pizzas and daily specials. You can also enjoy locally produced Bruce Luke’s coffee or indulge in one of the hugely popular milkshakes throughout the day.
Our menu changes regularly to reflect the best of what's in season, but you'll find a selection of:

Formal Meetings
Conferences, coffee and cakes
Located just off Junction 43 of the M6, James Watson House offers an adaptable range of technically-equipped facilities that cater to the needs and preferences of today’s businesses, from large conference hire for private events through to small meeting rooms for intimate business appointments. It is also home to AW Bistro for a less formal or social setting and where members of the public and business users alike can enjoy a catch-up over a coffee or a delicious meal.
State-of-the-art meeting venue
The seven fully-digital meeting and event rooms on offer at James Watson House include seating from 5 to 70 people, with varying space sizes to suit all needs. For larger events there’s also the option to privately hire a full floor, complete with state-of-the-art audio-visual conference technology, roof terrace, private kitchen and toilets. Full in-house catering is also available, making it the perfect venue for company strategy days, product launches, workshops, training sessions, board meetings, networking events and seminars. The smaller meeting rooms, complete with large screens, also provide an ideal setting for private meetings for those working remotely. On-site parking complete with EV chargers can also be provided (subject to availability) and full-disabled is available throughout the building.

Our location is easily accessible from the M6 and A69. Limited parking is available onsite and there are paid parking options close by.
