Armstrong Watson is delighted to announce a new forensic Accounting division, which will offer the full range of forensic accounting services.
The new team is headed up by Matthew Geale who joins the firm as Partner and Head of Forensic Accounting. Matthew is joined by Liesel Annible as Director of Forensic Accounting and Liam Whittleston as Assistant Manager.
Between them, the team have over 50 years of experience in forensic accounting, giving proactive, strategic advice. The new service for the firm will include commercial litigation, personal injury claims, criminal investigations, civil investigations, intellectual property, dispute resolution and negligence amongst others.
Matthew has undertaken forensic work on a full time basis since 1990 and has broad experience in dealing with many different types of cases. He has a proactive approach and understands the importance of providing strategic advice to those instructing him. He has given evidence numerous times, including matters in the High Court, the IPEC, the Patents Court as well as at the London Court of International Arbitration and is also asked by clients to assist at mediations and settlement meetings.
Liesel has specialised in financial investigations since 1993, including a secondment to the insolvency service division of the DTI (now DBIS). Liesel is frequently instructed to assist in the investigation of serious organised crime by both prosecuting authorities and the defence. She has experience of assimilating large amounts of financial data for presentation in both civil and criminal cases. Liesel has given evidence in court on numerous occasions and has assisted in mediations and settlement meetings.
