MSI Global Alliance has today announced the appointment of Timothy Wilson as its new Chief Executive Officer.
Wilson was previously the Director of Membership at Abbeyfield Society, a leading international provider of housing and care homes, where he was responsible for supporting over 200 independent care homes operating within the Abbeyfield organisation.
This role was preceded by a distinguished 28-year career in the Army, which included operational tours in Bosnia, Cyprus and Northern Ireland, leading a Task Force of 1,000 soldiers in Iraq, as well as living and working in Kuwait and Germany.
Wilson was selected by the MSI Board of Directors after a rigorous recruitment process. James Mendelssohn, MSI’s chairman, comments, “I am delighted that the extensive search for our new CEO has resulted in the appointment of Tim Wilson. His previous experience and knowledge of working in an international organisation will make him an excellent asset to MSI, and we are looking forward to Tim having a long and successful career with us as our new CEO.”
Wilson, who will lead the team at MSI’s London-based Secretariat, says, "I am delighted to have been given the opportunity to become Chief Executive of MSI Global Alliance. It is an association with a great reputation and I am very much looking forward to working with MSI's legal and accounting firms around the world and meeting the new challenges."
