With cybercrime in the news on an almost daily basis, it is more important than ever to take steps to protect both yourself and your business. With this in mind, Barclays, Burnetts and Armstrong Watson have joined forces to host a free seminar which aims to equip Cumbrian businesses for the fight against cyber, fraud and financial crime.
• One of Barclays Digital Eagles will start off the event with a presentation to help delegates understand the threats that exist and demonstrate some protective steps which can be taken.
• Vaughan Jones from Burnetts will look at the pro-active measures businesses can take including having the right contracts in place, encryption, compliance with the new General Data Protection Regulations, data breaches and liability if the worst happens.
• Armstrong Watson’s Liesel Annible will share her tips for spotting a fraudster before explaining the devastating impact fraud can have on a business and highlighting the current fraud threats.
