David was brought up on the family farm near Appleby. He joined Armstrong Watson in 1996 and qualified as a Chartered Accountant in 1999 and as a Chartered Tax Adviser in 2000. After qualifying he moved to the Kendal office to take up a managerial role before becoming a Partner in 2006.
David has always worked closely with agricultural and farming sector businesses as well as a wide range of owner managed businesses. In 2015 he returned to North Cumbria to head up our Rosehill office and has responsibility for ensuring that the services provided in respect of accountancy, business and tax advisory continue to meet the needs and go on to exceed the expectations of his clients. Over the years David has helped farmers to save significant amounts of tax and VAT, and he aims to provide clear advice in language his client’s understand.
