About David

David joined Armstrong Watson in September 2024 as an Audit Senior Manager and is based in our Newcastle office. David has almost 20 years of audit experience, working with owner-managed businesses, not-for-profits and education clients. David likes to build close relationships with his clients, becoming their trusted adviser. In taking this approach, it allows him to understand their needs, provide proactive advice and quality service. 

David has a particular interest working within the not-for-profit and education sector. Having spent five years as a governor of an academy, including three years as vicechair, he has experienced the many challenges and opportunities boards face. As a result, David is well placed to provide support and guidance on both financial governance and audit issues that can arise, as well as being fully ingrained within the sector.
