Jeremy Snape – International cricketer and now MD of Sporting Edge (a leading high performance consultancy). Jeremy refers to his own “failure” playing for England in front of a crowd of 120,000 as an example of a blocker to high performance. What can you do to maximise the chances of high performance in your business?
Dr Dave Hall – A visiting Professor of Business Creativity, Dave Hall from the Ideas Centre speaks about how to lead innovative decision making from experience. He transformed a Government agency into profit (for the first time in it’s 50 year history) and was recognised by EON in 2007 as Britain’s most energetic boss.
Jo Smedley and Andy Poole - Zest Learning specialise in getting the best out of people for the typical challenges that businesses face. Their respective backgrounds cover large blue chip employers (like Marks & Spencer, Royal Mail and Arla foods) as well as fast growing brands such as Republic. Jo and Andy support business owners to motivate their staff towards growth, success and profit.
Workshop visit to MSport - MSport was established in 1979 by Malcolm Wilson as a twotime British rally driving champion. The company has subsequently won the FIA world rally championships for manufacturers three times. You will get the chance to visit the MSport workshop and hear how high performance is embedded into their entire operation directly from the Engineering Manager.
Armstrong Watson has designed this event around “typical” challenges facing our clients. As business advisers we know how to support business owners and decision makers through this process towards greater profitability. There will be technical experts from the AW team on hand throughout the event to discuss the implications and options that fall out of the thinking process. The event will be held at the award-winning Armathwaite Hall in the heart of the Lake District. A 17th Century former stately home, set in 400 acres of parkland on the edge of Bassenthwaite lake. The spa leisure facilities and the stunning countryside will offer some refuge for partners should they wish to join you.
