Armstrong Watson with you
It's easy to become an Armstrong Watson client.
Many businesses and individuals who might be considering changing accountants or using an accountant for the first time may not be aware of how easy it is to start working with us.
Step one - Talk to us
We are a friendly group and would welcome an opportunity to talk to you on a no-obligation basis to explore the various ways we can help you and your business.
You can contact us in a variety of ways:
Our email address is help@armstrongwatson.co.uk
You can call us on
Freephone 0808 144 5575
If you call our freephone number from a landline, your call will be answered by the nearest office to your address. If you are calling from a location a little further from our offices, calls are answered at our head office in Carlisle, as are calls from mobile phones. Alternatively, you can call any of our partners direct at their respective offices.
If you wish to book a meeting with us, please let us know in which office. In some instances we can come to you - just ask.
Drop us a line at any of the offices to see which one would best suit you and, as by e-mail, give a very brief outline of your requirements together with a few details about yourself but, most importantly, when and how we can contact you.
Step two - Let's get together
Following our initial communication, we will contact you to arrange a suitable date and time to come and see you (or you can come to us if it is more convenient) and find out a lot more about you and your business.
There will be no obligation on either part to take the initial meeting any further and there will be no charge at this stage. The purpose of this meeting is to identify your needs and suggest ways in which we are able help. If you are happy, we will arrange all the necessary paperwork for you to become an Armstrong Watson client.
Step three - Paperwork
First, under current legislation, we are obliged to obtain proof of your identity. This process will be explained to you at the initial meeting and is very straightforward.
Second, if you currently have an accountant, there are some simple professional courtesies we have to carry out which include writing to your present accountant to confirm that there are no professional reasons why we should not act for you, and to ask them to provide us with all the relevant information about your affairs.
Finally, there will be a few forms to complete, but to keep the process as smooth as possible we will prepare most of these for you.
Step four - Now, we're with you
After completion of the paperwork you will be an Armstrong Watson client. All fees will be agreed beforehand, so there will never be any nasty surprises along the way.
The initial meeting is usually with the Partner, together with the manager who will be working on your affairs on a day-to-day basis. From the outset, responsibility for your affairs will rest with the Partner who will oversee the advice and services you receive.
We always endeavour to match the right team to you and your business. However, should the need arise we can easily call on others within the firm who possess more specialist skills.
You will also be introduced to a Wealth Management consultant, if required, who will be responsible for ensuring that you make the most of your assets and help plan for you and your family's future. This introductory meeting will be free of charge.
Once you're an Armstrong Watson client, you can rest assured that we'll be with you through thick and thin. We very much look forward to you joining us.
